A mother is fighting for justice after her two-year-old daughter sustained injuries, including a torn hymen, confirmed by a medical report following a sexual assault at Abundant Life Academy. Reports indicate that the school immediately denied responsibility and attempted to negotiate a private settlement.
A Nigerian mother, Mama Eliana, is demanding justice and accountability from authorities after stating her two-year-old daughter sustained severe injuries at Abundant Life Academy in Gwarinpa, Abuja.
The injuries, confirmed following a sexual assault, included double tears on her labia and a torn hymen. The incident occurred on October 17th, 2025, the third day after the 2-year-old daughter, who has low developmental speech, had resumed a newly enrolled mission school.
Mama Eliana shared her observation that led to the suspicion that her daughter had been sexually violated.
“I washed her, brought her out to lie down on my leg, opening between her legs to know what’s causing the pain. So I used the towel to dry her in between, and I saw a blood stain with water,” she said.
The mother, with her partner, rushed back to the school to confront the staff. Upon seeing the injuries, she said she confronted the school, where a male teacher denied the incident, stating that it must have happened somewhere else outside the school premises.
The parents reported the crime at the Galadima Police Station, where the mother claimed the counter officer accused her of wrongly targeting the school and called the owners to defend them. The case was eventually transferred to Inspector Abisetu, who ordered the medical exam.
Armed with the official medical report, the police confronted the management of Abundant Life Academy. The school’s lawyer then proposed a private settlement. The mother resisted these efforts, noting that the school and staff never once called or texted to check on her daughter’s health until the medical evidence was secured.
The mother revealed that the suspect is walking freely, the school is functioning well, and her daughter is suffering trauma. She is now publicly urging the police to do the right thing and ensure justice is served.
