EDITORIAL GUIDELINES
Naija Feminists Media content follows the ideals of radical feminism. Thus, our media content is produced from the following
perspectives:
- Reproductive rights for women, including the freedom to make choices to give birth, have an abortion, use birth control, or get sterilised
- Evaluating and then breaking down traditional gender roles in private relationships as well as in public policies
- Understanding pornography as an industry and practice leading to harm to women
- Understanding rape as an expression of patriarchal power, not a seeking of sex
- Understanding prostitution under patriarchy as the oppression of women, sexually and economically
-
A critique of motherhood, marriage, the nuclear family, and sexuality, questioning how much of our culture is based
on patriarchal assumptions - A critique of other institutions, including government and religion, as centred historically in patriarchal power
- A gender-critical emphasis that women are adult human females and girls are young human females.
EDITORIAL PROCESS
Our research, writing, and editing processes are meticulous. Our chief editor approves stories before writing, and multiple editors edit them before publishing. We emphasise using female experts in stories and numerous sources if necessary. All our stories align with the principles of journalism in terms of accountability, truthfulness, and integrity.
CORRECTIONS POLICY
If an error occurs in our story or new evidence appears after publication that significantly impacts the story, we will promptly clarify,
correct, or update it. In line with our commitment to accountable journalism, we will put a disclaimer beneath the story, signifying
the part of the story that was updated and why.
If you need any clarification on our content, please do not hesitate to contact
us at: mail@naijafeministsmedia.org.ng
