Super Falcons Captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has been named one of the three finalists for the 2025 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award. This was announced via the official social media platforms of CAF on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The CAF Awards is an annual ceremony hosted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to honour the best African football players, coaches, and teams of the year. It recognises and celebrates the talents of the continent’s footballers every year in both club and national team competitions. In October, Rasheedat was included on the initial 10-player longlist. Her nomination comes after a season of consistent displays playing for both her previous club, Paris FC, and the Super Falcons.
As captain of the Super Falcons, the revered footballer led her team to the 10th WAFCON title, earning her the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2024 tournament. She was also named the best player in the competition. The 2025 ceremony will be held in Rabat, Morocco, on November 19, 2025.
