The honourable Minister of Women Affairs in Nigeria, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that no woman is left behind in national development. She made this statement on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, during a meeting with women national leaders and deputy national leaders across all political parties.

Welcoming the attendees, Imaan emphasised that the principle of inclusivity has shaped the ministry’s Action Plan and roadmap for the next two years. She commended the collaborative spirit among female leaders from different political backgrounds, describing it as a crucial step toward strengthening unity and driving meaningful change.

“This administration, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has provided unprecedented support for women, with the Ministry of Women Affairs receiving its most significant budget yet,” she said. “This funding empowers us to implement transformative initiatives that will make a lasting impact on women’s lives.”

Imaan further urged women leaders to develop persuasive skills, prioritise national interests, and uplift one another, stressing that collective strength remains essential for building a better future.

“I am particularly excited to see leaders from different political backgrounds working together, a commendable effort that reinforces the importance of unity. Women must develop persuasive skills, work with a national interest at heart, and lift one another, as our collective strength is key to building a better future,” she said.
