Summary: Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna revealed during a livestream on January 17, 2026, that she has yet to receive the full N100 million prize package promised to her after her 2022 victory. The reality star stated that previous public complaints were dismissed as lies by fans and followers.
Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, known as Phyna, has revealed that she has yet to receive the full N100 million prize promised to her by the organisers of the reality show years after her victory.
Big Brother Naija, popularly called BBNaija, is a reality TV show that brings together selected housemates who live in a specially designed house, cut off from the outside world, while competing for a cash prize under constant surveillance.
During a livestream with fans on Saturday, January 17, 2026, Phyna addressed a fan’s question about the N100 million prize. She expressed frustration that previous complaints were met with disbelief.
“First of all, them no give me N100m. Shebi when I dey cry online una talk say I dey lie. When I dey cry say dem dey owe me, Una talk anything?” Phyna stated during the session.
According to her, several components of the reward remain outstanding, including cash equivalents, an all-expenses-paid trip for two, and product supplies from other sponsors.
Phyna won the Big Brother Naija Level Up season in October 2022, beating five other finalists to claim the grand prize. The prize package was valued at N100 million and included N60 million cash, a brand new SUV from Innoson Motors, a Dubai trip for two, a year’s supply of Pepsi, a new techno phone, a supply of UNIK soap, and home appliances from Nexus, among other rewards.
A major point of contention is the 1 Bitcoin pledged by sponsor Quidax Global. Since her win, the cryptocurrency has surged in value, now worth over N100 million. Phyna maintains that this, along with other benefits, has not been delivered.
In 2024, Phyna first took to social media to reveal that she hadn’t received her full prize. In April 2024, the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN) intervened on her behalf, writing to Multichoice Nigeria demanding the fulfilment of outstanding prizes.
Following the intervention, Multichoice reportedly facilitated commitments from some sponsors, with Pepsi promising to provide her with drinks for a year, Travelbeta agreeing to a trip for two, and UNIK soap offering to supply her with soap for a year.
However, Phyna insist that the full package remains unpaid.
