Summary: Nathan Bennett, 30, was convicted on Monday, February 9, 2026, of raping and sexually assaulting five toddlers at Partou King Street nursery in Bristol after nursery manager Victoria Tutton caught him on CCTV in February 2025.

A Bristol jury has convicted Nathan Bennett, a 30-year-old man, on Monday, February 9, 2026, of two counts of rape, four counts of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration against five toddlers aged two years old.

Bennett, who was from Corston, near Bath, worked at Partou King Street nursery in Bristol from July 2024 until February 2025, when the nursery manager, Victoria Tutton, watched CCTV footage showing him putting his hands down a child’s trousers. She immediately sent him home after the footage raised concerns.

The Avon and Somerset Police arrested Bennett following investigations that led to the nursery being shut. During the trial, a nursery staff member testified that Bennett sat children on his lap for extended periods and wore trousers with holes in the crotch area. One nursery practitioner described how Bennett had a “jealous attachment” with five children and would “take control of them.”

During the trial, video interviews of two children in the case – referred to as Child A and Child E – were played to the jury.

Child E’s mother testified that her son demonstrated the abuse to her at home. When she asked when it happened, he said it happened at nursery. The child identified Bennett by describing him as the man with the watch because Bennett wore a smart watch that Child E liked.

Bennett had pleaded guilty to 13 other charges, including eight counts of sexual assault, four counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, and one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

Prosecutor Virginia Cornwall told the court that Bennett had admitted his sexual interest in toddlers aged two and three through his guilty pleas.
