Three Boys, Aged 12, 13, and 15, Gang Rape 12-year-old in US

Summary: Three boys raped a 12-year-old girl at a community garden in Miami’s Overtown neighbourhood. What follows is a grand jury indictment for the boys being charged as adults.

Nelson Nunez, 13, Jusiah Jones, 12, and Xavier Tyson, 15, raped a 12-year-old girl at a community garden in Miami’s Overtown neighbourhood on June 18, 2025.

The rape occurred on June 18, 2025, at The Green Haven Project community garden located at 1160 Northwest 2nd Avenue. The three boys, Nelson Nunez, 13, Jusiah Jones, 12, and Xavier Tyson, 15, were charged as adults in February 2026, after initially being arrested on juvenile charges the day after the incident. 

According to arrest reports, the 12-year-old girl told authorities she was walking home from a friend’s house when she encountered a group of four boys. Nelson grabbed her and took her to a couch inside the community garden. Jusiah and Tyson then held her by the arms and legs, preventing her from leaving, as Nelson raped her. The rape lasted over 30 minutes. 

As the girl yelled, “No, no, stop, stop, it hurts,” Jusiah shoved rocks into her mouth to silence her. 

A neighbour who witnessed the incident from her window told police she heard the girl screaming, “Stop, no, I’m not playing, I’m not playing.” She went upstairs and asked who was screaming, but received no response. 

The boys only stopped raping the girl after they heard the girl’s father, who had gone searching for his daughter after hearing her continuous screams, call out her name. All three fled the scene and were arrested the following day. 

A fourth boy who was present at the scene told police he did not intervene because he was outnumbered and feared being harmed. A separate witness also reported the incident to an MPD patrol officer. 

The three boys were charged as adults on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, following a grand jury indictment.  Nelson and Jusiah were booked into the Metro West Detention Centre on Thursday, February 26. A judge ordered both held without bond during their appearance in adult court on Friday, February 27. 

Jusiah is charged with aggravated battery and false imprisonment. Nelson is charged with sexual battery on a minor by a minor and kidnapping. Tyson is charged with sexual battery, false imprisonment, and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.

The actions of the boys have caused widespread concern and outrage, with social media users calling out the manosphere and Red Pill content. So many users are calling for the death penalty for the boys, claiming they can not be rehabilitated.

An X user linked the actions of the boys to their hatred of women. She wrote, “For your information, this is the result of the manosphere & their hatred of women. Women & girls everywhere should be concerned.”

Similarly, X user, @TechDJKella, blamed red pill content; she stated, “This is what happens when young boys consume red pill content.”
