Scarlet is widely known for her lead role in the 2023 Showmax Original telenovela Wura. Her recent appearance in Behind the Scenes has drawn significant attention on X, with viewers describing her performance as one of the film’s standout elements.

User @heisam001 praised the actress, tweeting, “Scarlet Gomez is such a phenomenal actress. She ate her role up like a glutton. From Wura to Behind the Scenes, she has always carried every show.”

Similarly, X user @carter_bolex wrote directly to the actress, “You brought so much grace, strength, and natural charisma to your character. It was impossible not to be drawn in every time you were on screen. Your performance was both powerful and captivating.”

The film itself, Behind the Scenes, also drew emotional reactions from viewers. User @xprincealmani stated that a particular scene involving a turnover and the death of a character left him in tears, adding that the scriptwriter deserved recognition for the writing.

The actress responded to fans on X on April 3, expressing gratitude.

 “Thank you. It means a lot,” she tweeted. She also paid tribute to Funke Akindele, stating, “Words cannot describe my experience filming with F.A. She is who she says she is x1000. Her attention to detail, dedication and drive are out of this world. Aunty Funke deserves all the accolades.”

Behind the Scenes stars Scarlet Gomez in the lead role, alongside Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Destiny Etiko, Tobi Bakre, Uzor Arukwe, and Mr Macaroni. The film explores themes of fame, success, and the emotional realities behind public admiration, with a strong focus on the concept of black tax, the financial and social pressure to support family. 

The movie was originally released in Nigerian cinemas on December 12, 2025 and has earned approximately ₦2.7 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing Nollywood title of all time. It began streaming on Netflix and Kava TV on April 3, 2026.
