The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, is encouraging Lagosians and all Nigerians to register for the upcoming INEC voter registration exercise.

Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has called on Lagosians and Nigerians to participate actively in the upcoming INEC Voter Registration Exercise.

She stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set August 18 as the start of online voter pre-registration and August 25 as the start of in-person registration at designated centres.

Following this, she described the process as free, simple, and essential for exercising one’s right to vote. She explained that for online pre-registration, people should visit the INEC website and then go to a centre for biometric capture.

“For walk-in registration, simply visit your closest INEC centre from August 25, where officials will guide you.”

She urged everyone to use this moment to gain the ability to choose leaders who align with their values and aspirations.

“Together, let us strengthen our democracy and shape the future we all desire,” she said.
