DJ Dope Caesar, a Nigerian DJ known for her viral mixes and genre-blending style, has confirmed she is alive and well during an Instagram Live session. The confirmation came after Instablog, a controversial social media blog, posted on August 11, 2025, that the artist had died.
The blog quickly deleted the post, but the rumour had spread across social media. The rumour prompted DJ Dope Caesar, whose real name is Sarah Oboh, to take to social media to reassure her fans.
“But I’m okay. Like I’m very, very okay. You can see I’m very, very okay,” she said in the live video.
She went on to clarify that she was not involved in any accident and appealed directly to Instablog to never post anything about her again.
“Please Insta blog I use God take begg. Please don’t post anything about me. I beg. I did not die,” she said.
