In an announcement made on Jan 2, 2025, during a surprise visit to the Ramadan Souq by M&N Exhibitions in Abuja, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, under the leadership of Minister Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, is set to launch the “Happy Woman App.” The app will be a digital platform designed to connect Nigerian women with government programmes and economic opportunities.
While engaging with female entrepreneurs at the event, Imaan emphasised women’s crucial role in driving economic growth and described the “Happy Woman App” as a transformative tool that will bridge the gap between women and vital government resources. She said the app will provide direct access to empowerment initiatives, funding opportunities, and skill-building programmes.
“This app is a movement that truly represents how phenomenal Nigerian women are,” Imaan declared. “It reaffirms President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to empowering women, strengthening families, and building secure communities—because when women thrive, the nation prospers.”
The “Happy Woman App” forms part of the government’s broader “Renewed Hope Women Agenda,” which aims to create a more inclusive society. It will serve as a hub for information on grants, training sessions, business support, and mentorship opportunities tailored for Nigerian women across various sectors.
With its imminent launch, the platform is expected to become a game-changer in promoting economic independence and closing the digital divide for women seeking access to government programs.
