Summary: Femrivied, in collaboration with Naija Feminists Media and VARSH Foundation, trained 11 women on building a strong online presence and developing intentional digital marketing strategies as part of the RediscoverHer initiative on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Femrivied, in collaboration with Naija Feminists Media and VARSH Foundation, held its second virtual RediscoverHer session on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, via Zoom, training 11 women on digital marketing strategy.

The first RediscoverHer session, held on March 13, 2026, trained 15 women on navigating recruitment as African women in the workplace.

The session was facilitated by Nouran Farouk, a physician and social entrepreneur from Egypt, and co-founder and chief executive officer of Dosy, a platform that empowers women through mobility by training them to ride scooters and bicycles and building a female-only scooter ride-hailing service.

Nouran equipped participants with actionable knowledge on building a strong online presence, understanding their target audiences, and creating intentional marketing strategies for growth.

She drew from her experience building Dosy, which has grown to over 40,000 followers on Instagram and 10,000 on Facebook without running a major marketing campaign, to illustrate how women entrepreneurs can grow visibility without large budgets.

She noted that reaching out to social media influencers and training them on the platform’s service was one of the key strategies that drove Dosy’s rapid growth.“Every woman with a smartphone and an idea has the opportunity to build something meaningful.”

Nouran identified the key challenges women entrepreneurs face in digital spaces, including limited access to professional networks, cultural and social barriers, and difficulty gaining visibility for their businesses. She urged participants to approach digital communication not just as a marketing tool, but as a tool for visibility, connection, and empowerment.

The session also featured a game of two truths and one lie, which participants used to introduce themselves ahead of the training.

RediscoverHer is a month-long empowerment initiative designed for African women who have stepped away from the workplace due to marriage, caregiving, or social expectations, with sessions held virtually to ensure accessibility for women across Nigeria and Africa.
