On July 31, 2025, MTN Nigeria honoured the Super Falcons for their 10th WAFCON title with a celebratory breakfast in Lagos, presenting the team with a N150 million gift.

To celebrate the Super Falcons’ victory after winning their 10th WAFCON title, MTN Nigeria hosted a celebratory breakfast for the Team at Eko Hotels in Lagos on July 31, 2025. The Super Falcons were presented with a N150 million cash gift. 

Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, MTN’s Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the significance of the victory, stating that Nigerian women are determined when they set out to achieve something. She also noted to the Super Falcons that what they have achieved makes not only Nigeria but also women proud.

Karl Toriola, the CEO of MTN Nigeria, shared a personal reflection on the team’s performance, expressing how the final goal moved him to tears. He stated, “You’re proof that when Nigerian women rise, the world will take notice.”

Rasheedat Ajibade, a representative from the Super Falcons, expressed the team’s gratitude for the company’s recognition. “We feel valued, we feel honored, we feel respected,” she said. 

She added that the support inspires the team to be more, to be better, and to keep inspiring the next generation, and expressed hope that this event marks the beginning of more belief, more support, and a stronger legacy.
