Summary: The RediscoverHer 2026 programme concluded by delivering five expert-led sessions on career re-entry, confidence, digital skills, and emotional intelligence, reaching over 70 women across Nigeria and Africa through live and recorded sessions.
The RediscoverHer 2026 programme concluded on April 2, 2026, bringing to a close a month-long virtual empowerment initiative designed for African women who have stepped away from the workforce due to marriage, caregiving, or social expectations. The programme was held in collaboration with Femrivied, Naija Feminists Media, and VARSH Foundation.
The programme commenced on March 11, 2026, with an orientation session introducing participants to its goals and structure. It subsequently delivered five expert-led sessions spanning recruitment strategy, digital marketing, self-rediscovery, emotional intelligence, and confidence-building for workforce re-entry.
Nguemo Philomena led a session on navigating recruitment, equipping participants with practical strategies for job applications and interviews, while Nouran Farouk taught participants on digital marketing, addressing online communication and the role of digital tools for modern professionals and entrepreneurs.
Mpume Cele led a session on overcoming imposter syndrome and reconnecting with personal strengths. Dr Orletta Caldwell trained participants on emotional intelligence, covering how to understand and manage emotions and strengthen interpersonal relationships. Dr Susan E. Murray facilitated the final session, training women on rebuilding confidence and repositioning themselves for workforce re-entry.
More than 20 women participated in live sessions, while over 70 additional participants accessed session recordings on Naija Feminists Media. One attendee stated that confidence comes before qualification and can silence internal barriers, and another described Dr Orletta Caldwell’s session as the best she had ever attended.
