Beyoncé attends the campaign rally held in her hometown Houston Texas to show her support for Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid to become the next President of the United States of America.
Houston, Texas-born singer, songwriter, and businesswoman Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter has urged the people of Texas and America to support Vice President Kamala Harris as the elections draw close on Nov. 5, 2024.
In a 4 minutes 33 seconds video that has garnered over 11 million views on social media, Beyoncé declared her support for the current Vice President to become the next President of the United States at the campaign rally held in her hometown—Houston, Texas—on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
In attendance at the rally with American singer and actress Kelly Rowland, Beyonce told the Texan crowd that she was not there as a celebrity or politician but as a mother who cares deeply about the world. She reminded the public that it was important to live in a world where women could lead.
“Imagine our daughters growing up to see what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations. Imagine what our grandmothers feel right now– those who have lived to see this historic day, even those who are no longer with us. Imagine the sacrifices they made so we can witness the strength of a woman so she can stand in her power, reimagining what leadership is all about,” Beyonce said.
Speaking on the importance of body autonomy—a promise to be fulfilled under Kamala’s administration if voted, Beyonce ends her speech by reminding the crowd that their freedom is their right. She said that their votes are needed to make the necessary change in the United States of America. “It is time to sing a new song,” she notes.
