Summary

Toke Makinwa has publicly condemned 2Face Idibia for airing his marital issues online. She expressed support for his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay.

Media personality Toke Makinwa has slammed Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, over his announcement of divorce on social media.

On Wednesday, January 26, 2025, TuFace announced that he and his wife Annie Macaulay had been separated for a while and recently filed for divorce,

“Hello, my beautiful people of all federation. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long… I and Annie Macauley have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce. I will grant a press release soon to say my story.

Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I want them to know my innocence or offence. Stay blessed my people.”

Following the announcement, Toke took to Instagram to share her dismay. She left a comment under the TuFace divorce confirmation post saying,

“This is wrong on all levels, and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this year. Bring it on, if you think she’s alone, let me tell you here that you will fight all of us.”

She further made an Instagram status post calling on women to take the side of Annie because sitting on the fence might just result in the situation happening to any woman.

“I’m not one for too much talk, but what is wrong, and as a woman, if you sit on the fence on this one, if it misses you, it will touch your daughter or any female in your family. No one is innocent and if you want to bring the media into it, knowing what is happening, we would fight for her,”

 She said.
