Project Alert, Lions Club, WANEP Unite to Strengthen Community Response to GBV
The Lions Clubs International, in partnership with Project Alert and WANEP, convened a Lagos town hall to mobilise communities against gender-based violence. Speakers from DSVA, CEWHIN, and community networks emphasised the importance of survivor-centred support, early reporting, cultural reform, and stronger accountability systems. With donations from the Lions Club, the event reinforced collective responsibility, encouraging communities to challenge harmful norms, protect survivors, and take concrete action to end GBV.
