In another case of femicide, Obiozor Nwake, a middle-aged man, burned his wife, Chioma Nwanna, to death. This incident which occurred on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, took place at Njikoka local government area in Anambra state.
Obiozor alleged that his wife was cheating on him and, during an argument, set her ablaze. Sources confirmed that it was passers-by who helped put out the fire. Sustaining major burns on her body, Chioma was rushed to a medical facility in Enugwu-Ukwa, Njikoka local government Area, where she was pronounced dead the next day, Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025.
