Naija Feminists Media (NFM) has partnered with Femrivied to co-host RediscoverHer, a month-long empowerment initiative for African women who have stepped away from the workplace and lost touch with their identity, ambitions or career direction due to marriage, caregiving or social expectations.
Set to launch in March, the programme will run virtually, making it accessible to participants across Nigeria and the wider African continent.
RediscoverHer is designed for women navigating personal, professional, and socio-economic transitions, offering feminist-informed support, mentorship and practical tools to help them grow and re-enter work, business and leadership spaces.
The December 2025 RediscoverHer pre-run event highlighted the need for safe spaces where women can reconnect and rethink their personal and professional goals. The event featured three impactful sessions led by Philomena Nguemo Emmanuel, Christolina Kavetuna, and Damilola Obatunde, guiding participants to confront self-doubt, redefine their identity and embrace ambition without guilt.
The programme will feature expert-led sessions on financial empowerment, career development, entrepreneurship and leadership, complemented by mentorship circles, interactive workshops, and community dialogue sessions that encourage reflection, shared experiences and collective growth.
NFM’s work in feminist advocacy, gender justice and community mobilisation aligns with RediscoverHer’s mission to centre African women’s agency, experiences and collective empowerment.
Femrivied, a mobile hiring platform, empowers African women by connecting them with remote job opportunities while providing digital skills training, certification and mentorship. Together, NFM and Femrivied aim to expand RediscoverHer into a comprehensive initiative that combines advocacy, community and practical support for women navigating critical life and career transitions.
