Anambra State First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, Receives Social Impact Award

Dr Nonye Soludo, the Anambra State First Lady, has received the 2026 National Leadership Conference Award in recognition of her contributions to social impact and community development. The award was bestowed on her on Saturday, September 18, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The National Leadership Conference (NLC) Award is an honorary design to recognise Nigerian leaders who drive remarkable, systemic change in community development and grassroots welfare. It’s a premium national honour presented by the GOTNI Leadership Centre, one of Africa’s premier leadership development organisations. The award celebrates individuals for their excellence in social impact.

Since assuming office as the First Lady of Anambra State in March 2022, Dr Nonye has significantly transformed her role into a crusade for social welfare. She channelled her contributions and impacts primarily through her NGO foundation, the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative. Her Initiative operates across all 21 local government areas in Anambra State, with advocacy in preventive healthcare, nutrition, maternal and child well-being, and grassroots social welfare. 

Reacting to the honour, the First Lady extends her heartfelt appreciation to the organisation, team members, partners, and contributors. 

“We will keep showing up, keep serving and keep doing the work. There is still so much more to do. Thank you, GOTNI Leadership Centre, for this recognition, and thank you to everyone who has made the Healthy Living journey what it is today,” Dr Nonye said.
