Influencer Cheta Umeh, primarily known as the husband of popular health and lifestyle influencer Nancy Umeh, has publicly defended his wife by responding to critics in an open letter.

In a Facebook post on October 2, 2025, Cheta said his choice to stand by his family while his wife travelled abroad for business showed love and foresight.

“There is nothing shameful in standing by your family,” he wrote.

He added that their household system ensures financial stability and shared responsibility, noting that his wife does not depend on him for every need. He explained that this approach would protect their children’s future if anything happened to him.

Rejecting claims that he feels threatened by his wife’s achievements, he described her success as a blessing. “If she makes all the money in the world, that is a blessing to our home, not a curse,” he said.

He expressed that supporting a partner’s growth should not be mocked, stressing, “This is not weakness. This is wisdom. This is love. And this is family.”
