Nigerian actress and comedian Etinosa Idemudia has called attention to the discriminatory practice of barring women from entering clubs, lounges, and hotels without the presence of a male companion. Etinosa made the call on Monday, March 30, 2026, via her Instagram Story.

Addressing feminists directly, Etinosa stated that the restriction of women from public spaces without male accompaniment remained an unaddressed issue.

 “It’s the fact that women are restricted from entering a club, lounge, or hotel without the presence of a man,” she stated, adding that men face no such restriction and can enter these same spaces freely.

The Nigeria Actress stated that she personally confronts the practice wherever she encounters it, but cannot sustain the fight alone. 

“I fight it anywhere I go, but I can’t do it alone,” she stated, calling for feminist intervention.
