AWDF is a Pan-African grant-making initiative that supports the autonomy of African women’s rights organisations on the continent. Regarding Nana’s appointment, the company is “excited to bring Nana’s extensive experience and expertise to the forefront.”

At ADWF, Nana will leverage her over 15 years of experience in International Development, programme management, and feminist leadership to advance gender equality and gender justice for African women and girls.
Nana, who believes the “personal is political,” shared that she would strategically build political consciousness to advance the feminist cause.
“As I step into this role, I envision that the strategic priorities for advancing feminism, gender rights and empowerment across Africa are resourcing and nurturing feminist movements, building political consciousness, promoting individual and collective care, amplifying and connecting voices through feminist spaces,” Nana said.
