Summary: Korty EO, a Nigerian popular Vlogger and digital storyteller, hits back at a X user who attributed her professional success to female privilege. She maintained that her achievements stemmed from hard work and tenacity.

Nigerian YouTuber and young creative, Eniola Olarewaju, popularly known as Korty EO, hits back at a X user who attributed her professional success to female privilege. She argued that her achievements come from hard work and tenacity.

This exchange occurred on Friday, January 23, 2026, when the X user suggested that the Vlogger‘s achievements in the creative industry were primarily due to the advantages of being a woman. In response, Korty detailed the physical and mental toll of her work, specifically highlighting “sitting outside a hotel for three consecutive days just to secure a single interview.” She reminded critics of the two years she spent begging people to watch her videos before gaining significant recognition.

“I ran from Ibadan, hustled my way up from Bariga to Yaba, quit my job, begged people to watch YouTube videos I was dropping every week for 2 years. I sat outside a hotel for three days trying to get an interview. If you ever discredit my hard work for female privilege, God will brutally destroy you,” she wrote.

“This is daft and sad because you’ve done a lot of damage to your brain by constantly filling it with low-level thoughts like this. Even worse, because you may never know what it’s like to think from a place of wisdom and knowledge. I feel sorry for you,” the post concluded.

Reacting to the X user’s claim of “female privilege,” many women raised and supported Korty EO, arguing that men’s success in the same field would solely be attributed to “hustle,” while the women’s is downgraded, demonstrating a deep-rooted patriarchal culture.

“It’s crazy how we still have to prove our hard work to others just not to be branded under some funny labels, you can’t ignore what someone has put in just because you can’t fathom they worked that hard to get to where they are now,” @nfonjimaze

“Amen. Those idiots think women don’t work; sometimes we work twice as hard as men to be seen,” @BeckaBeckalee said.

“You literally have to fight in the corporate world to be taken seriously as a woman. Yet these bastards think we have privilege bc men want to fuck us,”@BottleOfShiraz said.

“You are doing well, don’t let anyone talk you down. Your channel is doing well. I saw your video years ago, and the recent one you did with Tiwa, growth,”@Funminz said.
