A lady has publicly accused Pastor Tayo Sabowale of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) of attempting to rape her. In a video that circulated on social media on May 5, 2026, the lady detailed a pattern of inappropriate touching, sexual comments, and an attempted rape that occurred in the pastor’s office.

According to the lady’s testimony in the video, the pastor had invited her to his office under the pretence of asking her to bring him pounded yam and egusi soup.

Once she arrived with the food, she stated that he began touching her sexually without her consent. “Before I knew it, you were all over me. Then, you were trying to rape me,” she said in the video. “And I kept closing my legs, I was telling you No.”

The lady described a pattern of behaviour preceding the attempted rape. She stated the pastor had repeatedly touched her inappropriately and made sexual comments, including references to other women in the church. When she resisted his advances during the office visit, she stated that he stopped the assault and instead demanded oral sex. “You stopped, and you asked me to give you head. You don’t remember,” she said.

As of today, Pastor Tayo Sabowale has not made any public statement in response to the allegations. The RCCG has not issued a statement regarding the accusation or any investigation into the pastor’s conduct. No police investigation has been confirmed as of the writing of this report.
