Summary: RCCG youth pastor Bola Abiodun, who issued a death threat against a feminist, has now admitted to repeatedly sexually violating teenage girls aged 16 to 19. He said this happened while he served as their teacher during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year at Ojodu Grammar School in 2019.

Bola Abiodun, the RCCG youth pastor at Christ the Rock Parish who cursed a feminist to die in her sleep on Monday, 23 February, has admitted to raping teenage girls who were under his authority as a corps teacher in 2019.

In a tweet posted on January 7, 2026, Bola publicly described sexual contact with students at Ojodu Grammar School while serving as a 28-year-old NYSC corps member. He stated that the girls were aged 16 to 19 and justified his conduct by noting that they looked mature for their age.

“In 2019, I was a 28-year-old corper teaching in Ojodu Grammar School. I dey steady chop those girls. They were 16-19, but they looked mature for their age. God forgive me,” he wrote.

Under the Child Rights Act and the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act, sexual activity with persons under the age of 18 constitutes rape, regardless of whether they appeared to consent. The girls Bola admitted to having sexual contact with were 16 and 17, below the legal age of consent in Nigeria. His position as their teacher placed him in a position of authority over them, compounding the gravity of the conduct he described.

When a user @nenealiemeke flagged the tweet as still publicly visible on Wednesday, February 25, Abiodun did not delete it or indicate any intention to report himself to authorities. Instead, he confirmed the admission remained up and invoked religion to deflect accountability.

“Yes, it’s still up. I made a mistake in my past, and I’m not proud of it, but God has forgiven me, so it’s not up to you to forgive me,” he responded.

Rather than urging him to contact the police or support his victims, at least one male Twitter user, @MaroJoash, encouraged Bola to simply erase the evidence. “Delete am my bro. E dey happen but delete this your own,” he wrote.

This is not the first time the RCCG pastor has come to public attention this week. NFM reported on Monday, February 23, 2026, that Bola issued a death threat against feminist Mama Abi-girl after she addressed him as “Mr” rather than “Dr” during a disagreement about sexual assault online.

As of the time of writing, the Nigeria Police Force, NAPTIP, and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), all of whom were tagged by numerous members of the public, have yet to respond to Bola’s admission. His employer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has also not made any public statement.

The case highlights how men in positions of institutional authority, teachers, and pastors, exploit that authority to access girls and women sexually, and how the same institutions that should protect survivors instead remain silent.
