Nollywood Actress Regina Daniels has accused Senator Ned Nwoko of using law enforcement to intimidate her after her close friend, Ann, was arrested by the Nigerian Police amid an ongoing marital dispute. In a statement issued on Jan. 13, 2026, the actress said Ann was arrested despite committing no crime, stating the action was linked to her association, making her also fear for her own life.
The arrest follows a prolonged and escalating conflict between Regina Daniels and her ex-husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, when Regina publicly accused Ned of domestic abuse, stating that she experienced violence during the marriage.
“What began as a domestic violence case has been buried and replaced with a series of new accusations, including claims of drug use, theft, cyberbullying, and assault,” Regina said. “Authorities know when allegations are fabricated, designed only to frustrate, humiliate, and emotionally break a family, but still allow themselves to be used.”
Regina expressed fear for Ann’s safety in custody and said the situation had left her fearing for her own life, describing the actions against her as disturbing and calculated.
“This is not a game. This is my life, and these are real people,” Regina said.
