Kemi Badenoch has been elected as the new Leader of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom to ensure fairness in the application of law and unity amongst the British people.

British politician Kemi Badenoch has been elected as the new leader of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom on Nov. 2, 2024, as she steps forward with a message of unity and renewal.

Born to Nigerian parents and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Kemi has held various political roles, including Member of Parliament for North West Essex since 2017 and Secretary of State for International Trade.

Kemi’s “Renewal2030” agenda for the British people aims for a conservative reset focused on core values. She plans to emphasise truth in politics, personal responsibility, and limited government, allowing individuals to succeed through their own efforts. She intends to apply the law equally and prioritise family as society’s foundation.

Upon her nomination as the leader of the conservative party, she stated:

“It is an honour and a privilege to have been elected to lead our great Conservative Party. A party that I love, that has given me so much.”

Thanking the members who trusted her, Kemi signalled a readiness to begin her work, concluding with a call to action: “It is time to get down to business. It is time to renew.”
