Award-winning investigative journalist, feminist and media entrepreneur Kiki Mordi has announced the launch of the 2025 edition of her tech scholarship for women. It is aimed at supporting 100 women to gain access to quality tech education and opportunities.
Kiki made the announcement via her official X (formerly Twitter) page on Apr. 23, 2025, inviting interested women to apply for the “Kiki Mordi 2025 Tech Scholarship for Women.” Each selected scholar will receive a 50% tuition scholarship—valued at ₦217,500—for tech courses at AltSchool Africa. In addition to the scholarship, beneficiaries will receive a monthly data stipend throughout the year to support their learning.
“This year, my friends and I want to support another 100 women to get into tech!” Kiki wrote, encouraging women to apply through the official interest form. She also called for public support, asking individuals interested in partnering or donating to reach out via direct message.
The scholarship goes beyond financial support. Scholars will join a growing tech community led by Kiki and her collaborators, gaining access to learning resources, mentorship, networking opportunities, potential funding, and job placements. The initiative reflects Kiki’s ongoing commitment to improving access to education and economic empowerment for women in Nigeria and across Africa.
The Kiki Mordi Tech Scholarship first launched to bridge the gender gap in the tech space and has since become a platform for transforming the lives of young women by equipping them with in-demand digital skills.
