Junior, a houseowner's son attempts to rape the 15-year-old teenage daughter of his father's tenant. He is currently on the run while the police search for his whereabout

A man identified as Junior, who doubled as the son of a landlord in the Elele in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, is on the run after attempting to rape a 15-year-old. The minor was reported to be the daughter of his father’s tenant.

Junior entered his tenant’s room at midnight after questioning the unsuspecting teenager and her sibling about their father’s whereabouts on Friday night, Jan. 17, 2025. At around 1:00 am in the mid-night, Junior broke into his tenant’s room and attempted to rape the 15-year-old teenager, who grabbed his hand when she felt unwanted movement on her body.

To cover his dubious act, Junior punched her and escaped through the window. But the tenant’s daughter was able to identify him when she switched on her torchlight, screaming to attract the other neighbours.

Although the case has been reported to the Elele police division, the state police command spokesperson, Grace Koko, confirmed that there is yet to be an update on the case..
