Adewunmi Ajayi has been arrested following him raping his underage stepdaughter, resulting in multiple pregnancies and abortions. The case was prosecuted at the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Violent Crimes Court on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

It was revealed that Ajayi, who was married to the survivor’s mother, Idowu Ajayi, has been sleeping with the latter since 2019, which resulted in two pregnancies that the mother aborted. The truth about this abuse was reported by the girl’s teacher, who reported the issue to Adeniji Adele Police Station, Lagos Island.

Further investigation into the case revealed that Ajayi used to put drugs into the girl’s tea to abort her third pregnancy. However, the plan was altered by the survivor’s sister, who called her attention to the particles found in the cup.

Two statements have been collected, medical results have been obtained, and a referral letter has been submitted to the court. The case has been adjourned to May 28th for a continued trial.
