Regina Daniels revealed that her mother, Rita Daniels, and her brothers warned her not to marry Senator Ned Nwoko, but she went ahead because she was in love. She said she now regrets ignoring her family’s advice and asked the public to stop insulting her mother.

Nollywood actress and producer Regina Daniels has revealed that her mother, Rita Daniels, and her family members had warned her against marrying Senator Ned Nwoko, despite her insistence that she was in love with him.

This revelation comes after Nigerian actress Regina Daniels accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of arresting her elder brother, Samuel Daniel, and her sister, Ifeoma Daniels, using his influence and connections.

Speaking in a video posted on her Instagram account on November 5, 2025, the 25-year-old actress clarified that, contrary to popular opinion, her family opposed her marriage from the beginning.

“My mom warned me not to marry Ned. My brothers were fighting and breaking bottles because they didn’t want me to go ahead,” she said. “Everyone said no, but I went ahead because I actually fell in love.”

The actress admitted she now regrets ignoring her mother’s advice, urging people to stop criticising Rita Daniels.

“People should stop insulting my mother. She is my god on earth. For seven years, my mom held me down. She fought for me when everyone else gave up,” she said.
