  1. Lifestyle Content Creator, Angelica Kelechi, Calls out Sayria Spa, Staff, for Sexual Assault

Content creator Angelica Kelechi called out Sayria Spa for sexual assault by a male masseur during a massage session. In a viral video posted on her Instagram page, Angelica reported that a male masseur “repeatedly inserted his fingers in her vagina area during the session.” The spa confirmed the staff member has been dismissed and says it fully cooperates with authorities for an investigation.

  1. Reps Moves to Ban Commercial Surrogacy, Proposes N2m Fine and Jail Term

The House of Representatives has introduced a bill to ban commercial surrogacy in Nigeria and allow only non-profit surrogacy under strict guidelines. The bill, titled “A Bill for an Act to Protect the Health and Well-being of Women, Particularly in Relation to Surrogacy and for Related Matters,” is sponsored by Hon. Uchenna Okonkwo, who represents the Idemili North/Idemili South Federal Constituency of Anambra State. The proposed law includes penalties of up to two years in prison or a ₦2 million fine for anyone who violates its provisions.

Elizabeth Adams, a contestant in Nigeria’s first-ever Albinism Awareness Beauty Pageant, by Misty Glam Company, shared her journey as a model and educator. During an interview with Naija Feminist Media, Elizabeth addressed misconceptions about people with albinism. She also shared her dreams, motivations, and journey. 

  1. Gombe Rescues 14-Year-Old Girl from Child Marriage

The Gombe State Government has rescued a 14-year-old girl who was married off to a Taraba man as his third wife. The minor, whose identity remains confidential, reportedly escaped from a rural community in Taraba State where she was married off to a man more than three times her age. 

  1. Outrage as Speed Darlington Confesses to Raping Minor

Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington triggered public outrage after confessing to raping a minor. During the live session, the artist spoke in Igbo, complaining he had to pay a hotel staff N2,000 to clean blood stains from a bedsheet after his sexual violence. Currently, Speed Darlington has been called by NAPTIP to respond to the official invitation issued on May 28, 2025, regarding a viral video and others in which he admitted to sexually abusing a minor.
