“Honored to receive the Forbes Woman Africa Lifetime Achievement Award. Many thanks to @forbesafrica for this great recognition at the Forbes Africa Leading Women’s Summit (I was sad not to be there in person). It’s wonderful that this is happening also during Women’s History Month. We stand on the shoulders of those greats who came before us but also on the fantastic younger women coming after. Congratulations to fellow Awardees, especially my younger sister, Arunma Oteh. Here is to every hardworking and achieving African woman!” Ngozi wrote.
The award was presented at the Forbes Africa Leading Women’s Summit, an event that honours influential women making significant contributions across various sectors. While Ngozi was unable to attend in person, she acknowledged the importance of the recognition, particularly during Women’s History Month, and praised both past and emerging female leaders for their contributions. She also extended her congratulations to fellow honorees, including Arunma Oteh, former Vice President of the World Bank and a respected figure in global finance.
