Nollywood star and television host, Osariemen Elizabeth Ighodaro, popularly known as Osas Ighodaro, has officially made her Bollywood debut, landing a lead role in the Nolly-Bollywood micro-drama series, Imported Bahu. This information was disclosed on Forever 7 Entertainment’s Instagram page.
Imported Bahu is a drama series that follows the story of Arjun Mehra, the son of a wealthy Indian family, and his fashion CEO Nigerian wife, Zara Ogun. In the drama, Zara is portrayed as a bold, confident woman who struggles to be accepted by the Buhu’s family. The spotlight themes like love, family, female empowerment, and deep-seated family secrets.
The drama is produced by Hamisha Ahuja, the prominent Nigerian-Indian filmmaker who is widely known for fostering collaborations between Nollywood and Bollywood, and has previously produced films like Namaste Wahala and Postcards. The new series is part of her efforts to bridge African and Indian storytelling through cross-cultural productions. The drama will premiere on July 2, 2026, and stream exclusively on LebaraPlay.

Osas Ighodaro is a Nigerian-American actress who is recognised for her exceptional versatility as a lead dramatic actress. She has a great status as one of Nollywood’s highest-grossing box office stars and an award-winning actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
