An Ogun State High Court sitting in Isheri-Olofin has ordered the operator of popular Instagram blog @instablog9ja to disclose their true identity in a suit filed by Nollywood actress Adunni Adewale, popularly known as Adunni Ade. The matter came up on August 19, 2026, before Justice A.A. Babawale at the Isheri/Ojodu Abiodun Judicial Division, and has been adjourned to August 31, 2026, for mention.

The suit, filed as Suit No. HCO/297/2026, lists the respondent as an “Unknown Person” trading under the name and style of @instablog9ja on Instagram. During proceedings, Dr Olumide Babalola appeared for the applicant, while Ayodeji Fasehun appeared for the respondent.

Fasehun told the court he did not know when his client was served but had received the court processes two days earlier, and indicated his intention to file an application to reveal the identity of the respondent. Justice Babawale ordered that the respondent’s response must already disclose the name of the person behind the account.

Adunni Ade shared a copy of the court proceedings stamped by the High Court of Ogun State and bearing the judge’s signature on her Instagram page, with the caption, “Update on court case. Adunni Ade vs Instablog9ja. Court orders Instablog9ja to reveal its identity.”

The lawsuit stems from a dispute that intensified in June 2026, when Adunni Ade accused Instablog9ja of manipulating social media posts about her and her newborn child, alleging that the blog deliberately merged separate content to distort the meaning of her original posts and had repeatedly bullied and ridiculed her over the years.
