Summary

Aderonke Rene Ahmed, the founder of Visit a Hospital Initiative, has urged Comfort Emmanson, an Ibom Air passenger who was mistreated by the airline staff, to hold her head high and not be affected by her body footage shared online.

Aderonke Rene Ahmed, popularly known as Rene the Leader, and the founder and CEO of Visit a Hospital Initiative, has urged Ibom Air’s passenger Comfort Emmanson not to feel ashamed or let anyone disrespect her for what happened to her.

Recall, on August 10, 2025, Comfort was dehumanised by Ibom Air staff, with her clothes stripped and footage of her breasts shared online. An indefinite air ban was also imposed on her by the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) and was subsequently remanded in Kirikiri. The punishment has since been reversed after Naija Feminists Media condemned the retaliation.

After the release, Comfort shared her side of the story, stating that she was not the aggressor and the incident had left her ashamed and traumatised.

“The trauma is too much for me. I can’t even go out again. How do I face my clients?” Comfort said.

Reacting to Comfort’s speech, Rene urged the young lady to unlearn the shame and proceed with her life. “Did you kill somebody? No. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stand up, own yourself, and don’t let this break you,” Rene said.
