Reno Omokri has been called out on Facebook by his estranged wife for neglecting their son with special needs and not spending meaningful time with the boy since June 2024. She further claimed he prioritises staged photos over real parenting and urged him to be a consistent presence in their child’s life.

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has been called out by his estranged wife, Tuokpe Onuwaje, for neglecting their son with special needs.

In a Facebook post on September 1, Tuokpe said that Reno Omokri had not seen or spent meaningful time with their son since June 2024. She claimed the boy had been left waiting for real bonding moments rather than what she described as “fleeting visits” given to his other children.

“Stop showing up just for photo ops — show up for real life. Our son with special needs is waiting for quality time with his dad. You haven’t seen or spent time with your son since June 2024! Over a year!” she wrote.

She further stressed that parenting should go beyond social media appearances.

“Prioritise meaningful moments over social media validation. Be present, be involved, and be a constant in your children’s lives. Put down the camera,” she added.

She urged Reno to put aside his busy public life and become a consistent presence in their child’s life, stressing that real parenting is found in everyday moments, not in staged photographs.
