Summary

In line with her promise to organise and facilitate developmental initiatives for her constituents, Senator Idiat Adebule has empowered 1,000 entrepreneurs in Lagos West Senatorial District with the equipment needed to make a sustainable business.

In a just-concluded skills acquisition session held from Nov. 5, 2024, to Nov. 19, 2024, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule of the Lagos West Senatorial District empowered 1,000 Nigerian entrepreneurs by providing them with tools and financial aid to help them launch or grow their businesses.

The two-week “Mega Empowerment Programme” was held at Blue Roof, Alausa, Ikeja, in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). It is a continued fulfilment of Senator Idiat’s promise to ensure effective representation in the Senate and facilitate developmental initiatives for her constituents. She distributed sewing machines, gas cookers and cylinders, professional hair dryers, and other tools. The beneficiaries also received 50,000 in cash gifts.

“I encourage the beneficiaries to use the skills they’ve gained and the additional support wisely by making themself self-reliant,” she urged them.

Senator Idiat also shared that she remains committed to raising the bar of legislative representation, especially as the lawmaker in the country’s most populous senatorial district. She commended her party chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and other corporate and political dignitaries who graced the event with their presence.
