The Miss World Nigeria is an independent, premium national beauty pageant organised by the Silverbird Group. The platform focuses primarily on selecting the country’s official delegate for the global Miss World competition. The competition structure includes: an intensive camp experience where contestants undergo extensive grooming, choreography sessions, runway practice, and media orientation, public voting, leadership training, fashion show, and others.
In the grand finale of the 2026’s edition, 20 contestants from across the country compete under the theme, “Pride, Power, and Purpose.” They showcased intelligence, advocacy, and leadership, however, Tamunosoye who represented Bayelsa State won the national title. During the process of crowning her, former lawmaker and founder of the Silverbird Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, praised her for being more than a queen.
