Summary: Dr Michael Okechukwu, a Nigerian doctor employed at Wythenshawe Hospital in the United Kingdom, stands accused of grooming and attempting to meet a 13-year-old girl for sexual purposes.
A video circulating online exposes the UK police interrogating Dr Michael Okechukwu, a doctor employed at Wythenshawe Hospital, over allegations that he groomed and attempted to meet a 13-year-old girl to rape her.
The footage reveals the predatory methods he employed to manipulate the child while exposing the institutional failure that enabled him to access and exploit a minor in the first place. Throughout the interrogation, police officers confront Michael with explicit evidence of his communications with the girl.
The transcript of his messages showed sexual contact by sharing pornographic content with the child, framed himself as a superior alternative to boys her age, offered her money and gifts to secure her compliance, and explicitly instructed her to keep their interactions secret from her mother.
In one message, he wrote, “Everything about you and I will always remain a secret between us forever. This is our promise.”
When confronted with evidence that the girl is 13 years old, Michael repeatedly denied knowing her age, claiming he believed a 13-year-old could not access social media. As of the date of this report, UK authorities have not publicly confirmed formal charges against Michael Okechukwu. Investigations remain ongoing.
This is not the first time NFM has documented Nigerian men attempting to rape children from abroad. In previous reporting, NFM exposed the case of a Nigerian Man Arrested in Britain for Contacting Minors.
