About Naija Feminists Media (NFM)
Naija Feminists Media is a leading media organisation working at the intersection of journalism and women’s rights. NFM produce knowledge products–Feminist News, Free Women’s (FM) Vodcast, Women’s Art, and NFM Films–that demystify Nigeria’s misogynistic and patriarchal culture, rework the stereotype that gender equality is un-African and unnecessary, and highlight Nigerian women’s perspectives on global gender issues.
About the role
NFM seeks a Communications Officer to join its team and contribute to graphic design, video editing, and content creation across its platforms. As a Communications Officer, you will help strengthen NFM’s storytelling and digital presence.
Job description
- Design graphics for social media, campaigns, and publications
- Edit videos for NFM content, including vodcasts and short-form media
- Support content creation for digital platforms (X, Instagram, etc.)
- Maintain visual consistency across NFM’s communication channels
- Collaborate with the editorial and program team on campaigns and advocacy
- Share designs and content with team members for review and collaboration
- Post and manage content on social media platforms
- Support content creation and other communications tasks as needed
Key requirements
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva)
- Basic to intermediate video editing skills
- Strong creativity and attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Passion for gender equality
