On February 25, Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang received a delegation from the World Trade Center of Philadelphia, led by Nana Obokese Ampah I, the Apagyahen of the Asebu Traditional Area.

During the meeting, Nana Obokese highlighted the collaboration between the centre and Ghana, which resulted in Nkunim Diaspora City, a 100-acre real estate development in the Central Region designed to provide homes for people looking to settle in Ghana. Mr Thomas Young, President of the World Trade Center Philadelphia, expressed his gratitude for the meeting and spoke about the upcoming Diaspora Property Expo.

In her address, VP Prof. Naana Jane emphasised the importance of partnerships that benefit all parties involved. She encouraged the delegation to explore opportunities for Ghanaian investments in Philadelphia, ensuring a more balanced and mutually beneficial relationship. The discussion also touched on the significance of fostering integration within the Nkunim project and promoting unity among community members.

The meeting reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with the diaspora, enhancing investment opportunities, and supporting initiatives that promote cultural and economic integration.
