Following multiple videos surfacing online, Nigerians have taken to social media to react to the news of Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, getting engaged to a new lover, who has been identified as Honourable Natasha Osawaru. Natasha is the current deputy majority leader of House of Assembly of Edo state.
This announcement comes less than a month after 2Face took to social media to announce the separation and ongoing divorce between himself and Annie Macaulay.
After being seen at the Edo State House of Assembly on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, the popular artist took to social media the next day to reveal that he was, in fact, in a relationship with Honourable Natasha Osawaru and plans to marry her.
In the now deleted video that lasted for 2 minutes and 55 seconds, he stated that Natasha had nothing to do with his separation with Annie and urged Nigerians to stop bullying her and labelling her as a homewrecker.
“I said what I said. Everyone is going to be alright … Honourable Natasha is a young, brilliant woman, and she has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie…Yes, I love her. I want to marry her,” he further remarked.
On Feb. 13, 2025, a new 3 minutes video showing 2Face proposing to Natasha has now gone viral on social media, with rumours also stating that they might be expecting a child together.
Following this news, Nigerians have commented on the timing of his new engagement, nothing that his divorce from Annie is still fresh.
Waterside Girl tweeted “2face never addressed Nigerians when Annie was constantly being cooked but is now dropping different press releases for Natasha?! Now I understand a little of Toke’s anger and pain.”
“Smh, Women choose yourselves first!” X user Chi also commented.
“Just be successful in life. Ladies, men aren’t options. Make your own money, be on top of the game!” – @HRH Banke Oniru also weighed in.
