Summary: Senator Natasha has validated her PDP membership, urged young Nigerians to register, and warned the public against a doctored video falsely linking her to a fraudulent investment scheme.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representative of Kogi Central Senatorial District, has officially validated her membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), calling on young Nigerians and party supporters to do the same. The process is done to confirm and update her membership details with the party, ensuring she remains an active member.
She disclosed this via her verified social media platforms on March 17, 2026, confirming that she completed the process through the party’s electronic registration portal.
Describing the PDP as Nigeria’s strongest opposition platform, the lawmaker stressed the need for active participation from members nationwide to deepen democratic engagement and promote political inclusiveness.
“I have validated my membership, do yours too. Register now. It is simple and easy,” she stated.
Her call comes amid ongoing efforts by the PDP leadership to digitise its membership database and strengthen grassroots participation ahead of upcoming political activities, including ward, local government, and state congresses. The development also follows the party’s recent push to reposition itself after internal challenges and electoral setbacks in the 2023 general elections.
All this is done in preparation for the general elections. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled Nigeria’s 2027 polls, with the Presidential and National Assembly elections on January 16, 2027, and the Governorship and State Assembly elections on February 6, 2027.
