TikTok influencer Bubagirl is receiving strong online support from women through a 30-day challenge launched to counter cyberbullying and reclaim her comment section after years of harassment following a leaked video.
Nigerian TikTok personality, Esther Raphael, popularly known as Bubagirl, is receiving widespread support from women on social media through a 30-day challenge aimed at protecting her from online harassment.
Bubagirl, who has over 1.3 million followers on TikTok, went viral following the non-consensual leak of an intimate video of her two years ago. Many claimed her former boyfriend was responsible for the revenge porn. Since then, she has faced persistent cyberbullying and derogatory comments, particularly from male users, whenever she posts new content.
In response, TikTok user Osunwede (@turahBMg) launched the #30DaysBubagirlChallenge, encouraging women to flood Bubagirl’s comment section with positive messages while reporting abusive and trolling accounts.
“I’m doing a #30DaysBubagirlChallenge to help keep her comment section sane,” Osunwede said. “Until you all start having the same energy for male celebrities and TikTokers, I’ll be here defending her.”
Women across TikTok have rallied behind the challenge, with many praising it as a powerful show of digital solidarity.
Adebimpe commented, “Real definition of girls supporting girls,” while another user, Adaeze, said, “Yes! I love this. They should let the angel breathe.”
As the hashtags and messages of solidarity continue trending on TikTok, the challenge highlights the growing power of collective digital activism and the importance of protecting women and girls from online harassment.
