Summary: Femrivied, in collaboration with Naija Feminists Media and VARSH Foundation, trained 10 women on rediscovering their confidence and re-entering the workforce as part of the RediscoverHer initiative on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Femrivied, in collaboration with Naija Feminists Media and VARSH Foundation, held its third virtual RediscoverHer session on Friday, March 20, 2026, via Zoom. The session trained 10 women to rediscover their voices, regain confidence, and navigate low self-esteem and imposter syndrome as they re-entered the workforce.
The session was facilitated by Mpume Cele, founder and chief executive officer of South Africa KhanyaM Creative Solutions, a marketing communications agency based in South Africa with over 15 years of experience helping brands grow strategically. Cele is a filmmaker, storyteller, and recipient of the 2024 Google Lassis Way award, honoured for her contribution to storytelling and community building in celebration of 30 years of South African democracy.
Cele told participants that the session was not about becoming someone new, but about remembering who they had always been. She stated that many women do not lack potential but lack clarity. “You are talented but undefined,” she stated, adding that clarity was essential for women to position themselves confidently in the workplace and in their personal brands.
She emphasised that self-awareness was the foundation of authentic personal branding, urging women to pause and ask themselves who they were beyond the expectations placed on them by society, family, and the workplace. “Your voice is not missing. It is just unclaimed,” she stated.
On reinvention, Cele told participants that starting over was not failure but alignment. She drew from her own experience of leaving formal employment to start her marketing agency without sufficient capital.
RediscoverHer is a month-long empowerment initiative designed for African women who have stepped away from the workplace due to marriage, caregiving, or social expectations, with sessions held virtually to ensure accessibility for women across Nigeria and Africa.
With a series of sessions, the second RediscoverHer training, held on March 17, 2026, trained 11 women in digital marketing strategy, equipping them with actionable knowledge to build a strong online presence and create intentional marketing strategies for growth.
