Nigerian content creator, Angelic Duchess, has lamented about the challenges of motherhood and the unequal burden of childcare. This was shared in a post on Monday, June 15, 2026. Angelic Duchess is a digital content creator and student based in Canada. She shares engaging content by documenting the realities of relocating abroad as a student and mother.
In her vlog, the content creator addresses the intense exhaustion of modern motherhood and the unequal burden of childcare. She explained that despite making the baby together, she is the one who is stuck 24 hours a day with the baby while her husband still gets to go to work, run errands, and leave the house whenever he wants.
“I am stuck, I can’t go out. I can’t do anything without the child. Whatever I do is around the baby. I bear 95% burnt of everything,” she added.
She also highlighted the stressful reality of professional setbacks that mothers face, particularly in fast-evolving fields. According to her, the manufacturing industry where she works requires that she go back and relearn her job from scratch because a long break meant her current knowledge base had fallen behind. She explained that her job requires structural movement, and her baby remains intensely attached to her, creating an overwhelming mental and physical bottleneck.
