Content creator Praise John has revealed how four agberos harassed her and two friends at a Lagos bus stop after they exchanged dollars nearby, demanding a cut of their money and blocking every vehicle they tried to board until a bystander intervened. Her account, shared August 4, 2026, sparked a wave of Nigerians online sharing similar experiences with the touts, who are widely understood to operate with political protection.
