Alicia Daniella Denies Affair Claims, Files Domestic Abuse Case Against David Martins

On August 26, 2026, the legal team of Alicia Daniella, wife of Nigerian singer David Martins, issued a public statement categorically denying allegations of an extramarital affair circulating against her,

She confirmed that the domestic violence case against her husband is currently before relevant law enforcement and legal authorities. The statement warned that any further publication of defamatory content about their client would attract legal action without further notice.

Recall that NFM previously reported on Alicia Daniella’s public disclosure of domestic abuse at the hands of David Martins, in which she stated she was attacked while holding her son, and called out the violence she had been subjected to within the marriage.

In the statement signed by Law Capitol, Alicia Daniella’s legal practitioners, the lawyers stated, “Our client categorically and unequivocally denies any allegation of an affair or inappropriate relationship with any third party. At no time did she engage in any conduct of that nature, nor has she acted in a manner inconsistent with the dignity, propriety, and respect she maintains in her personal conduct, including respect for the sanctity of marriage.”

The lawyers noted that private communications involving their client had been selectively and distortedly circulated to create a misleading narrative, stating that the dissemination of private conversations without evidential foundation does not constitute wrongdoing. 

They added that the publication of private communications involving a person who is not the publisher, without consent and without justification, raises serious legal concerns. The statement further disclosed that their client has been subjected to direct messages from members of the public containing false and defamatory statements, describing the conduct as an ongoing attempt to harass and malign her.

Crucially, the lawyers confirmed that the domestic violence allegations Alicia has raised against David Martins remain the focal and core issue. 

“The focal and core issue in this matter remains the serious allegations of domestic violence and abuse, in respect of which our client has already commenced appropriate legal action against her partner. The matter is currently before the relevant law enforcement authorities and legal authorities for due process.”

The lawyers urged the public and all concerned parties to allow the ongoing legal process to take its full course without interference, speculation, or distortion, and stated that their client would not be drawn into any media contest or parallel narrative war.
